Dal colle di Querceto si dominano i suggestivi pendii della Val di Pesa dove i filari delle vigne si alternano ai riflessi argentati degli olivi; in questo incomparabile quadro si trovano le case coloniche di querceto, nei pressi della strada panoramica che dalla vicina località di Romita segue il crinale fino a Montespertoli.
L’antico gruppo di case in pietra, costituito da varie unità addossate l’una all’altra, creano un unico e pittoresco insieme tipico delle fattorie toscane.
Querceto è suddiviso in appartamenti di varie dimensioni, ristrutturati ed arredati nel rispetto dello stile rustico toscano e delle caratteristiche architettoniche dell’epoca. Il casolare di Querceto è situato in una zona ricca di itinerari artistici e storici: si trova a 20 km dal centro storico di Firenze, a 40 Km da Siena ed è vicino a numerosi centri minori, ugualmente suggestivi e pittoreschi, tutti facilmente raggiungibili anche con i mezzi di trasporto pubblici (la fermata del pullman è a poche centinaia di metri dalle case coloniche di Querceto). Nei paesi vicini si possono trovare negozi di ogni genere e botteghe tipiche, ristoranti e trattorie ed i caratteristici mercatini settimanali.

From the hills of Querceto the eye commands the beautiful slopes of the Pesa valley, where the even rows of the vineyards gently mingle with the silvery glow of olive groves.
In this unique setting lies the farm of Querceto, close to the panoramic road which, starting from the hamlet of Romita, follows the crest until Montespertoli. The ancient group of masoned buildings consist of several units, one propped up against the other, forming a unique and picturesque whole, typical for Tuscan farms.
Querceto is divided into apartments of different sizes, restored and furnished in the ancient style of Tuscan countryside, respecting the architectural style of the period. The apartments are provided with individual heating and with all the facilities of modern comfort.
Between the olive trees, the guests have at their disposal a tennis court, swimming pool, a payphone, a laundromat, mountain bikes, TV sets and ample areas for casual enjoyment, like the characteristic ’aia’, a place in front of the farmhouse, where once the peasants used to meet.
The farmstead of Querceto lies in the middle of a zone rich in places of artistic and historical interest. It is only 20 km away from the historical city of Florence, and 40 km from Siena. It is even nearer to many smaller places of no less beauty and attraction, which can easily be reached even by public conveyance (the bus stop is only some hundred meters away from Querceto).
In the nearby villages are shops of all sorts, typical arts & crafts studios as well as the weekly markets.

Vom Querceto Hügel aus hat man freie Sicht auf des Tal Val der Pesa, dessem Hänge abwechselnd mit Weinbergen und silbrig schimmernden Olivenhainenbepflanzt sind.
In dieser unvergleichlichen Landschaft stehen die Bauernhäuser von Querceto, ganz in der Nähe der Panoramastrasse, die von Romita bis Montespertoli führt.
Das Ensemble besteht aus mehreren alten Natursteinhäusern, die in Gruppen gebaut wurden und zueinander in enger Beziehung stehen. So entstand ein malerisches Gesamtbild wie es für toskanische Bauernhöfe typisch ist. Querceto ist in Einzelappartments verschiedener Grösse unterteilt, die unter Erhaltung des ursprünglichen rustikalen Stils renoviert wurden und mit typischen Möbeln bestückt sind. Die Wohnungen verfügen über eine eigene Heizung und sind mit modernem Komfort ausgestaltet. Im Aussenbereich steht den Gästen zwischen den Olivenhainen ein Tennisplatz zur Verfügung sowie eine Bocciabahn, ein Schwimmbecken, ein Telefon mit Gebührenzaehler, eine Münzwaschmaschine, Mountainbikes, Fernseher und grosszügig angelegte Gemeinschaftsräume, wie die charakteristiche Tenne vor dem Haus, wo sich in früheren Zeiten die Dorfleute zusammenfanden. Das Gehöft von Querceto liegt in einer Gegend mit vielen Ausflugszielen von geschichtlichem und kulturellem Interesse: das Zentrum von Florenz liegt nur 20 km entfernt, Siena nur 40 km, kleinere Orte, die ebenso interessant sind, liegen noch näher und sind leicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen (die Bushaltestelle liegt nur wenige hundert Meter von den Haeusern Quercetos entfernt). In den umliegenden Dörfen gibt es Ladengeschäfte jeder Art sowie Kunsthandwerk und Restaurants. Natürlich die charakteristischen bunten Wochenmärkte. Mit dem Auto ist man in einer guten Stunde das Meer erreicht.
